Contact and collaboration
Good reasons to reach out include software development, websites, apps, automation tools, independent product collaboration, and content collaboration around studying, working, visas, immigration, and everyday life in Japan.
Three useful things to include
- The problem you want to solve or the thing you want to make.
- Existing materials, budget range, and expected timing.
- How you would like me to help: development, consulting, content, or long-term collaboration.
Article submissions and content collaboration
Submissions and collaborations are welcome around software development, independent products, studying in Japan, work, visas, immigration, and life in Japan. When reaching out, please include the article direction, a short personal introduction, and how you would like to be credited. Payment: if the article is promised to be original and first published on this site, it will receive USD 6 plus all future Google AdSense revenue generated by that article.

Timeline
Site development timeline
Donggui Xishi is not a one-off website. It is a personal brand and content base that will keep growing. The timeline below records several important stages, and also reminds me to turn long-term thinking into every update.
- 2023
Started documenting life in Japan
I kept writing around studying in Japan, work, visas, and everyday life, preserving firsthand experience while gradually thinking through what kind of website Donggui Xishi should become and pushing it toward launch.
- 2024-03-15
The first version went live
The domain dongguixishi.com was registered, and the site was named Donggui Xishi. The name was inspired by the osmanthus and persimmon trees that many Japanese households like to plant.
- 2025
The second version went live
The site went through two major updates this year. The main changes were adopting the self-developed ANEN admin system and adding internationalization across the whole site.
- 2026-04-26
The third version went live
After last year's platform went from investment to the end of that investment, the site became somewhat awkward in shape. Now Donggui Xishi returns to simplicity, building a foundation for long-term publishing, collaboration, and monetization.

Open submissions and more works
Next, I will keep adding project case studies, welcome high-quality original submissions, and explore a model where content authors can share the advertising revenue generated by their articles.
